There are a few itinerant events which are often more fun in my book than the bars and clubs. eg.Rusty Spurs is the New Rainbow Cattle Co. Those pretty much are your gay nightlife staples, and while some are older than others they appear to be pretty stable, and when one closes another usually opens to take its slot. Strip Mall Jacuzzi Sex on Airport Boulevard: Mid Towne Spa Neighborhood dive bar with pool tables and volleyball venue in the suburbs- 'Bout Timeĭive bar with pool table and no outdoor volleyball venue downtown - used to be Dick's Deja Disco, now The Cockpit Twink - yuppiesh bars, but everyone kind of goes there: Rain, Oil Can Harry'sīar of Refuge for closeted politicians, working boys and gals, anyone tired of the downtown bars (and/or sick of looking for parking): Charlies Leather Bar- Chain Drive- Can be totally raunchy or depressingly quiet - great on Wednesdays when there is live music- otherwise much more happening on the weekends.
